Companion
The Companion Program highlights Afra’s long‑term support for individuals and families facing serious health challenges. Many beneficiaries are living with chronic illnesses, or they are children whose parents or guardians are unable to provide stable care due to their own medical conditions. Through steady monthly assistance, the program ensures continuity in essential living, medical, and educational needs, ensuring stability and dignity for those most affected by illness and hardship.

Hope for Future
Millions of children worldwide face the devastating combination of poverty, mental health struggles, and unstable family environments. The Hope for Future project provides a lifeline for these vulnerable children by offering a comprehensive support system in a well-equipped center in the suburb of Tehran. The project not only addresses the children's mental health through counseling and therapy but also alleviates their poverty by providing essentials like food, clothing, sleeping accommodations, and education.

Mothers and Children Reunion
Single mothers facing financial hardships often find themselves in the heartbreaking dilemma of having to leave their children in orphanages due to the lack of support and resources to raise them. This situation not only affects the mothers but also has profound implications for the well-being of the children. The Mothers and Children Reunion project is a sustainable relief of poverty initiative that aims to enable mothers living in poverty to sustainably manage their lives and prepares them to reunite with their children.
Completed Projects

Aid For Eid 2026
The project enabled vulnerable families to celebrate the Persian New Year 2026 with dignity and renewed hope, despite the added strain caused by the ongoing war and deepening economic challenges. By easing financial pressure and uplifting the confidence and happiness of children, the program helped stabilize conditions of 196 families and 29 children during a very difficult period. It allowed families to shift their focus from immediate survival concerns to meaningful participation in New Year traditions, reinforcing a sense of normalcy, resilience, and community continuity.

Light After Dark
A tragic gas explosion at a coal mine in Tabas, Iran in late 2024 claimed many workers’ lives, leaving families, especially pregnant spouses and young children, in severe hardship. In response, the Light After Dark initiative brought immediate relief and long-term stability to two families devastated by the tragedy. By covering housing costs, basic living needs, and delivery expenses, the project helped restore a sense of security for two widowed pregnant mothers and their young children.

Aid For Eid 2025
The Afra Charity Foundation completed a large-scale aid project to support underprivileged families, especially mothers and children, during the Persian New Year 2025. The project provided new clothing and essential food supplies to 148 families in Tehran and surrounding areas, helping them celebrate with dignity. By alleviating financial and emotional stress, the project ensured these families can participate in traditional festivities and start the new year on a positive note.

Women's Empowerment by Skill Training
Afra Charity Foundation has completed an empowerment project for 30 women heading underprivileged households residing in deprived neighborhoods of Tehran. Through this endeavor, four cloth production workshops have been established in Khani Abad Nou and Nasim Shahr. The project enabled the women to work towards a secure and self-sufficient future via enhanced life management skills and financial freedom.

Medical Support for Women and Children
The health of mothers and children is fundamental for both individual well-being and societal progress. However, financial instability limits their access to essential healthcare. Through this project, a total of 376 women and children in Dashtiari County in the Province of Sistan and Baluchestan received medical supports, including essential appointments with specialists and prescribed medicine.
